International Day for the Eradication of Poverty
The South Asia Research Institute for Minorities is committed to observe the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, 2023. This year’s theme, “Decent Work and Social Protection: Putting dignity in practice for all,” resonates deeply with our mission to promote social justice and uplift marginalized communities across the South Asian region. We recognize that poverty not only deprives individuals of their basic needs but also their dignity. By focusing on the crucial facets of decent work and social protection, we aim to empower those who have long been marginalized and overlooked. We believe that dignity is an inherent right of all individuals, and we are dedicated to working diligently to ensure that this principle is upheld for every person, irrespective of their socio-economic background. As we commemorate this day, we reiterate our commitment to fostering a world where everyone can lead a life of dignity, and we stand in solidarity with all efforts aimed at eradicating poverty and promoting equitable access to decent work and social protection for all.
