Uttar Pradesh. The marriage procession of a Dalit’s daughter had come to village Parauli in Salempur police station area of Bulandshahr district. The allegation is that when the wedding procession with a band was taking place in front of the village head’s house, the casteist village head and his associates parked their car in the middle of the road and killed the bride’s brother at gunpoint when the wedding procession was taking place in front of the house. Threatened to kill. When protesting, caste based words were used. SP Dehat Bajrang Bali Chaurasia told The Mooknayak that a report has been registered against the village head and 3 unknown people in Salempur police station, advance legal action is being taken.
The wedding procession of Shivkumar’s cousin sister had come to Parauli village of Salempur police station in Bulandshahr. Shivkumar told The Mooknayak, “At night, the groom was riding on a carriage. The wedding procession was taking out a march to the tune of a DJ along with a band. During the procession, the procession reached near the house of village head Yogendra Sharma. The head passed by the front of the house. Stopped Chadhat from leaving. To stop Chadhat, the village head along with his colleagues and supporters parked the car on the road. The wedding guests and our family members protested against this. On this they all started fighting.”
In this case, it is alleged that the village head and his associates showed a pistol and threatened to kill the bride’s brother if he passed by the house.
Bulandshahr SP Dehat Bajrang Bali Chaurasia told The Mooknayak, “The bride’s brother Shivkumar son Surajpal has filed a report against village head Yogendra Sharma and 3 unknown accused under sections 504, 506 IPC and SC ST Act. Salempur police station in-charge. The inspector has been instructed to take legal action in the matter.”
