Lucknow. A Dalit officer serving as a superintending engineer in UP’s Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam has been transferred five times in the last 45 days. Power Officers Association has accused Madhyanchal management of harassing Scheduled Caste engineers. The association has also sought intervention from the Power Corporation Chairman and Managing Director. Everyone has talked about going to the Supreme Court in this matter.
According to the information received from the association, Rajesh Kumar, who is serving as Superintending Engineer in Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, has been transferred five times in the last 45 days. The Officer Association has made it clear that in support of the Superintending Engineer, on January 18, Dalit and backward class engineers will wear black bands in the entire Madhya Pradesh. The Power Officers Association has sought an appointment with Energy Minister AK Sharma on Tuesday in this matter.
Will complain to CM Yogi
In this matter, the association says that after the program of January 22 in Ayodhya, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be met. This decision was taken in the emergency meeting of the Power Officers Association last Monday. Rajesh Kumar, Central Vice President of Power Officer Association, has been attached from Lesa to Madhyanchal, then to Balrampur, then to Lesa, since then to Madhyanchal and now to Bareilly.
Will raise the issue in the Supreme Court
Acting President of Officers Association, Awadhesh Kumar Verma, Vice President PM Prabhakar, Rajesh Kumar, General Secretary Anil Kumar, Organization Secretary Harishchandra Verma, Binda Prasad expressed confidence that the Chairman and Managing Director of Power Corporation will immediately intervene in the entire matter and resolve the deadlock. If the deadlock is not resolved, the association has also said that it will present its views in the two-member governance committee constituted by the Supreme Court and if necessary, will approach the Supreme Court.
