Udaipur – Bharat Adivasi Party MP Rajkumar Roat along with his supporters staged a symbolic dharna outside the Udaipur Collectorate on Tuesday. Roat gave a memorandum to IG Ajaypal Lamba in which he expressed deep anger over an audio that has been going viral on social media for the last several days, in which a BJP leader talks about beating the workers of the Baap Party with sticks and burning their houses. MP Roat has demanded the police officer to register a case on this and get the audio investigated. Roat said that if the police does not take action in the matter within ten days, then the tribals will take to the streets in Udaipur and Baswada divisions.
While talking to the media, MP Rajkumar Roat slammed the BJP government and accused the party’s tribal leaders, especially the Tribal Development Minister Babu Lal Kharari, of doing politics only in the name of religion while ignoring issues related to society.
‘If an MP has a voice then he is more dangerous than a terrorist’
Rajkumar Roat said that for the past several days an audio is going viral on social media in which a big BJP leader is heard telling a BJP worker to hit the tribals associated with the father with sticks and burn their houses. Roat said that after this audio went viral, we tagged the Chief Minister and top police officials on social media and asked — who is this terrorist who is giving provocative speeches to set tribal houses on fire, but even after 15 days we did not get any response. The result of that is that a deadly attack was made on our MLA and workers in Lasadia in Dhariawad assembly constituency. Roat further said that if action had been taken in time, then such an incident would not have happened. Roat said, “After the audio went viral on social media, most people are saying that this voice is of Udaipur MP Mannalal Rawat. If this voice is of Rawat, then a person having such a cheap thinking being an MP is more dangerous than a terrorist”.
The MP said that he has met the IG regarding this issue and has demanded an investigation by filing a case because if a person who has become an MP by using a certificate of his community talks about destroying and burning the houses of the tribals, then nothing can be more unfortunate than this. Rath said that the administration has been given 10 days’ time, if action is not taken on this issue by then, the tribals of Udaipur and Banswara divisions will take to the streets.
In this case, ‘The Mooknayak’ messaged Udaipur MP Mannalal Rawat to know his side, on which the news will be updated after receiving the MP’s side.
‘We started talking about development but BJP is stuck on religion’
The Baap MP took the BJP to task and said that the way BJP leaders have been organising different programmes for the last one month, talking nonsense against us on the issue of delisting and religion, the truth is that they have no support. Roat said, “They had come with the talk of development but at present they are stuck on the issue of religion. Unemployment is increasing in tribal areas but the double engine government is not talking about employment. The condition of schools here is bad, there are no teachers, there are no rooms in schools but BJP leaders do not talk about any issues other than religion.” The MP further said that Tribal Welfare Minister Babu Lal Kharari is not aware of what is happening in his department because he is wearing the glasses of religion and his political party. Hostels for tribal children are becoming dens of corruption due to mismanagement. There is a school running in his own assembly constituency where classes from first to twelfth are being run. Roat further said that ever since Kharari has become the minister, the condition of hostels is in a very bad state, they are running them on contract. Roat further said that the way BJP wants to intoxicate people with religion by doing politics of religion in the tribal areas, this will not happen because now the youth has become aware. Now the society wants the provisions of the Constitution along with education, health and employment to be implemented on the ground. On the question of alliance in the upcoming by-elections in Rajasthan, Roat said that whatever the party decides will happen but there is a greater chance of Bharat Adivasi Party contesting the elections on its own.
