SARIM’s Participation in the 83rd Annual Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) Conference held in Chicago, Illinois, USA
We are pleased to share that Yasir Ali, Associate Editor of the South Asia Journal for Minorities (SAJM), represented SARIM at the international level through his participation in the 83rd Annual Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) Conference held in Chicago, Illinois, USA. During the conference, he contributed in multiple academic roles as an author, chair, and discussant, engaging with a range of critical and contemporary political science discussions.

As part of SARIM’s outreach and academic dissemination, Yasir Ali also distributed 10 copies of the journal to leading political scientists, scholars, and academics, including Prof. Jan P. Volger (Aarhus University), Dr. Sarah K. Dreier (University of New Mexico), Andy Sturges (For the Rights), Dr. Felicia Grey (University of Detroit Mercy), and Dr. Daniel Loebell (Northwestern University). Additional copies were shared with prominent publishers and made available at the MPSA exhibition hall under the Assorted Book Display section, further strengthening the visibility of SARIM’s work in global academic spaces.
On 28 April 2026, he was also invited to the University of Massachusetts Boston, where he engaged with faculty and PhD scholars in the Global Governance and Human Security program. During the visit, he met with Leigh Murphy (Program & Operations Manager, Department of Conflict Resolution, Human Security & Governance) and Prof. Stacy D. VanDeveer, and presented copies of the journal, fostering academic exchange and strengthening institutional linkages.
