UP: The murder of 48-year-old teacher Yogesh Kumar, belonging to the Dalit community, in Charthaval area of Muzaffarnagar district has shaken the entire area. Kidnapping and murder conspiracy: Bitterness in relations became fatal
The complaint of kidnapping of teacher Yogesh Kumar was lodged by his sister Simlesh. She told that Paramjit and Amit, residents of Rasulpur, had threatened her brother earlier also. This complaint lodged on Monday night revealed a horrifying truth within a few hours. The police took action and arrested the accused Paramjit from near Saidpura Shani Dev temple and recovered the body of the teacher on his information. The reason behind the murder was the girl with whom Yogesh was going to get engaged on December 8. Amit loved this girl one-sidedly and due to jealousy of her conversation with Yogesh, he took this horrific step.
The gruesome process of murder: kidnapping, beating and death
Police investigation revealed that on the day of the murder, Paramjeet and Amit together kidnapped Yogesh in his car. After this, he was taken to the forest and beaten with sticks and strangulated to death with a rope. After the murder, the body was thrown into the drain. Police have recovered the car, two sticks used in the murder and a rope from the crime scene. After the arrest, Paramjeet admitted that Amit had hatched a conspiracy due to the growing closeness of the teacher with the girl.
Aspect of family conflict and social inequality
Accused Paramjeet, who was the teacher’s blood brother, had moved to Rasulpur from Atali village a few years ago. Relations between the two families were already strained, which could be another reason behind this incident. However, the main reason was Amit’s one-sided love and jealousy.
