20 years in prison for kidnapping, holding hostage, and raping a girl

12 Feb 2025 Hetauda – The Patan Hetauda High Court has sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for kidnapping, holding a minor captive and raping her.
A joint bench of Justices Yamuna Bhattarai and Sanumaiya Dangol on Tuesday sentenced 24-year-old Ramchandra Mukhiya Bin alias Radheshyam of Chandrapur, Rautahat, to 20 years in prison for kidnapping, holding hostage and raping a 12-year-old girl.
The court has ordered the recovery of a fine of Rs 720,000 from Bin. The higher court has overturned the decision of the Chitwan District Court. Earlier, the Chitwan Court had sentenced him to four years in prison for kidnapping and physical restraint and imposed a fine of Rs 40,000.
The High Court has sentenced Veen to 18 years in prison for rape and 2 years for kidnapping and holding hostage. On 2077 Magh, Veen abducted a 12-year-old girl while she was returning home from school, took her to Rautahat, locked her in a room for a few days, and raped her.
