Dalit farmer attempts suicide by hanging at Tikamgarh Collectorate, high-voltage drama over land fraud
Panic ensued at the Tikamgarh district collectorate in Madhya Pradesh when a Dalit farmer attempted to hang himself, frustrated by the lack of justice.
The farmer alleges that he was cheated in a land registration deal and that no action was taken despite repeated complaints. Police and administrative officials rushed to the spot upon receiving the information. After much persuasion, the farmer was calmed down.
