A Dalit youth, Munner, was attacked around 9:30 PM in Panna Tikri village, under the Kotwali Dehat police station area. The attackers beat him with sticks, rods, and iron bars, leaving him seriously injured.
It is alleged that the attackers used casteist slurs while beating Munner. Munner suffered fractures to his fingers and legs, and also sustained head injuries in the attack.
When Munner’s wife and daughter rushed to his aid after hearing the commotion, the attackers also misbehaved with them. The accused then threatened them with death and fled the scene.
