About FNCN:
The Federation of National Christian Nepal (FNCN) is dedicated to advocating for the rights and interests of the Christian community in Nepal. The organization works towards securing the existence, identity, and human rights of Christians, as well as addressing national issues affecting them. FNCN actively urges the government to implement secularism in line with international standards and advocates for the provision of burial grounds for the Christian community. Additionally, FNCN strives to empower and promote the independence of churches.
In collaboration with the government of Nepal (GoN), FNCN plays a crucial role in ensuring the social, economic, political, religious, and cultural rights of Nepalese Christians. This involves working towards amending the constitution and establishing appropriate laws and bylaws to protect the rights of Christians in Nepal. FNCN operates through central, provincial, district, local, and international level committees, enabling effective engagement at various levels of governance.
Purpose of Collaboration:
The South Asia Research Institute for Minorities (SARIM) and the Federation of National Christian Nepal (FNCN) have formed a collaborative partnership with the prime objective of jointly working to eliminate and alleviate the persecution faced by Christian communities within South Asia. This association aims to address the pressing issues surrounding the rights of minorities and create awareness about the precarious situation they often find themselves in.
