New Delhi. Many cases related to crime against women have come to light in the last 12 hours in India. A trainee air hostess was murdered by slitting her throat in Mumbai. The police have arrested four accused in the much talked about Didwana-Kuchaman Dalit double murder case.
Police have arrested four people on charges of murder in the much talked about Dalit double murder case of Didwana-Kuchaman district of Rajasthan. The arrested accused include the names of Chenaram resident of Dhankoli, Prakash resident of Chandi police station Makrana, Rakesh resident of Sardarpura Khurd Maulasar and Sandeep Kumar resident of Dakipura. Apart from these, the police is searching for more than a dozen accused.
Let us tell you that on the late night of August 28, near Ranasar village of Kuchamana police station area of Rajasthan, unknown miscreants killed bike riders Rajuram Meghwal and Chunnilal Meghwal by crushing them with a jeep and Bolero camper. While his companion Kishnaram Meghwal was seriously injured. Both the deceased cousins and Kishnaram of the neighboring village were going back to the village together from the Maulasar fair. Around 20 miscreants who came in three vehicles on the way carried out the incident. After the incident the accused fled from the spot.
On the other hand, as soon as the accident was known, hundreds of people from Bhim Sena, Bhim Army, Meghwal Mahasabha along with their family members first reached the mortuary of Kuchaman Hospital. From here they staged a sit-in outside the police station demanding the arrest of the accused. The strike continued for about 6 days. During this period, a Sangharsh Committee was formed to conduct the movement involving people from all sections of society. Ultimately, after agreeing on some points between the protesters and the police administration, the bodies were handed over to the relatives after post-mortem was conducted by the medical board. Last day, both the bodies were cremated together in the village of the deceased.
Chhattisgarh’s trainee air hostess murdered
A 24-year-old female flight attendant was found dead in an apartment in Mumbai, after which the police have registered a case of murder. An official gave this information on Monday. The officer said that the deceased has been identified as Rupal Ogre, a resident of Chhattisgarh, who had come to Mumbai in April for Air India training.

He said that Rupal was found dead late on Sunday night in a flat of NG Complex on Krishnalal Marwah Marg in Marol area of Andheri. The Powai police have registered a case of murder against unknown persons and have formed several teams to nab the culprits, the official said. According to the police, during investigation, the police found that the woman used to live in the flat with her sister and her male friend, but both of them had gone to their respective homes eight days ago. The police have informed them about the incident. Police said that when the woman did not respond to phone calls from her family members, they contacted her local friends in Mumbai and asked them to go to her flat.
According to the police, when local friends of the family reached there, they found the flat locked from inside and no one even answered the bell. They later contacted Powai police, with whose help the flat was opened using another key, the officer said. He told that the woman’s throat was slit and she was lying on the ground. He was hurriedly taken to Rajawadi Hospital, where he was declared dead even before admission. The officer said that the police have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code and started investigation.
Fed up with police harassment, commits suicide
An incident of suicide by a housewife due to police harassment has come to light on Monday in the limits of Channapatna city police station in Ramanagara district of Karnataka. The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Madhuri, a resident of Kote Layout in Channapatna city.
Madhuri took sleeping pills on Saturday and died in the hospital on Sunday. She had said in the video that she was unable to tolerate the police harassment and was ending her life.
It is alleged that when Madhuri went to Channapatna Rural Police Station to lodge a complaint regarding the financial dispute, the police did not register her complaint. The victim alleges that the policemen insulted her in the police station. The police sent him back. Before committing suicide, the woman had said in her video that at least she would get justice after her death. The family members have met Ramanagara SP in this regard. The family has leveled allegations against Channapatna Town Inspector Shobha and other staff. The police have not yet given any official statement in the matter.
