Etawah: Former district president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Balveer Singh Jatav had filed a case against two accused in January this year in the case of assault on him. Regarding which he alleges that now the accused are threatening him to settle the matter and are threatening to kill him.
Balveer Singh Jatav, a resident of village Moonj of police station area Chaubia, submitted an application in the court and said that on the night of January 8 at 12 o’clock, Police Station Incharge Chaubia Mansoor Ahmed beat up his neighbour Arjun. When Balveer asked the Police Station Incharge the reason, he started abusing him and beat him up after making him fall down. When he made a video, the Police Station Incharge snatched the mobile and deleted it. At the instigation of the Police Station Incharge, Anurodh and Sachin of the village threatened to kill Balveer. When he reached the police station to lodge a report, the Police Station Incharge drove him away.
However, after the court order, a case was registered against the accused Anurodh and Sachin under sections 506, 504 on the basis of the complaint letter given by Balveer to the police on January 11, 2024 this year. In the complaint letter, Balveer had accused the above two of murder and implicating him in a false case.
Balveer told The Muknayak that the police arrested a boy from his neighbourhood at night and were taking him away while using abusive caste-related language. When he came out of his house and protested against the abuses by the police, he too was abused using abusive caste related language.
Balveer said, “This area is dominated by Yadavs and Samajwadi Party people. The SHO got me threatened by local people – Sachin and Anurodh. I have an audio recording of the threats. When I went to the police station to complain, no one listened to me. I went to the Superintendent of Police and the ADG but no one listened to me. Then I went to the court. After the court’s order, a case was registered against both of them”.
Now on November 11, the police registered a case against Balveer under sections 115(2), 352, 351(3), 109 of the Indian Penal Code, 2023, based on Pradeep Kumar’s complaint. In this complaint, Pradeep has accused Balveer of firing and beating him with the intention to kill.
However, Balveer has alleged that the case of firing incident has been registered on the basis of false and fabricated facts. Balveer alleged that all these people are in collusion and are together. And the police is supporting them.
Four days after Pradeep filed a case against Balveer, Anurodh Kumar, who was booked on January 11 based on Balveer’s complaint, also filed a case. Anurodh has alleged in his complaint letter that Balveer pushed and beat Anurodh Kumar. Anurodh has also described himself as handicapped. Based on this complaint letter of Anurodh, the police have registered a case against Balveer under sections 115(2), 352, 351(3) of the BSN, 2023.
Now Balveer is tense after two people filed a case against him. He told The Mooknayak, “All this is happening because this is a Yadav dominated area. I am a Dalit, so no one is listening to me. I am still getting death threats. Now a fake case has also been filed against me.”
A case has been filed against the SHO on the orders of the court
Last month, on 19 October, on the basis of a complaint letter by Balveer’s neighbour Munni Devi, who belongs to the Dalit community, a case was registered against the police station in-charge of Chaubia, Masoor Ahmed, under Section 506, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act 3(1)(d), Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act 3(1)(g) on the court’s order. Muddi Devi also alleges that the police station in-charge Masoor Ahmed used to harass her son Gautam deliberately under influence and threatened to implicate him in a false case and send him to jail. When she complained about this to the Superintendent of Police, he became even more angry.
Let us tell you that this is the same SHO whom Balveer had earlier accused of using abusive casteist language and getting threats from local people. Currently, the accused SHO is the SHO of a nearby police station. Balveer has expressed concern that the accused SHO can influence the investigation of the case. He has also filed a complaint on the Chief Minister’s Jansunwai portal and demanded justice. The Mooknayak has copies of all the FIRs filed in the case.
