Bastar, Janjwar. These days the villagers are engaged in excavating the government road in Kakri village of Anuppur police station area under Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh. For the last five days, the villagers have been cutting the 5 km road from place to place. Actually, the tribal villagers do not want to set up camps in their area. The villagers are united in the village of Kakri against the setting up of the camp. The protesting villagers are demanding that they need schools, hospitals and anganwadis, not camps for the security forces, to improve the future of the next generation. It is worth noting that in the last two years in Bastar, camps of unconscious security forces are being set up, against which the tribal villagers have been continuously protesting. Despite this, the government is constantly setting up new police camps.
Women elderly men are engaged in cutting the road by taking rural shovel, gaiti, tagadi, sabbal. Villagers are protesting this by making hundreds of pits on the road of about 5 kilometers. Villagers of Nahari, Kakadi, Burgum, Potali, Jabeli, Gondaras, Barrem gathered for protest camps in Nahari village. Rashad has been staying on the roadside for 4 days with ration and taking rural tents. The villagers have cut the road from Nahari to Kakadi. The villagers say that we do not want a police camp at any cost. With the opening of the camp, the police will catch villagers in naxal cases and send them to jail. Even before this, the police have caught the people of our village and sent them to jail.
The sarpanch of Nahari was himself present among the diggers. A resolution has also been passed from the panchayat that there is no need for a police camp in Nahari village, so the camp should not be set up in Nahari. At the same time, the news of setting up of rural camps is just against the government and administration. No village has been reached by the administration so far in the protest that has been going on for 4 days. Nahadi village is included in the inner panchayat, due to which the administration and police do not even have a clue of this protest.
