International Day of Peace
The South Asia Research Institute for Minorities (SARIM) is proud to join the global community in commemorating the International Day of Peace as designated by the United Nations. In a region as diverse and dynamic as South Asia, peace is not merely an aspiration but a fundamental necessity. SARIM recognizes the significance of this day in emphasizing the critical importance of peaceful coexistence, conflict resolution, and the promotion of tolerance among diverse communities. Our commitment to advancing the rights and well-being of minority groups in the region is intrinsically linked to the pursuit of peace. On this occasion, SARIM reaffirms its unwavering dedication to fostering understanding, dialogue, and harmony among the various ethnic, religious, and cultural groups that constitute South Asia. We call upon governments, civil society organizations, and individuals across the region to redouble their efforts in promoting peace, reconciliation, and social cohesion, as these are the cornerstones upon which a brighter and more harmonious future for all can be built.
