Dalit injured in attack by bullies, dies: Family members create a jam in front of the police station; On filling water from the tap, he was beaten with sticks and axes.

A Dalit youth injured in an attack by bullies in Siranj area of Vidisha district died on Sunday. Angered by this, the family members demonstrated in front of the police station on Monday. People allege that the police has taken unilateral action in this matter.
The police assured to increase the murder section against the accused. The family agreed after assurance of strict action. The wife of the youth injured in the attack is currently admitted in Bhopal. On January 2, in Barkhedi village situated on Bhopal Road, there was a fight between two parties over the matter of filling water from the tap. In this, the bullies beat Karan Ahirwar with sticks and axes.
Beaten for filling water from the tap of bullies
Family members told that Dalits have a separate tap in the village. This time there is no water in it due to less rain. On this Karan went to fill water from another tap in the village. The people of Yadav community of the village took objection to this. They beat up Karan. According to the FIR, Sonu Yadav of the village abused Karan for filling water. Slapped him. After some time, many people along with Sonu reached his place carrying sticks and axes. He attacked Karan.
Karan Ahirwar suffered a deep wound in his head in the attack. Karan’s wife Guman Bai also suffered serious injuries on her hand. Both were referred to Bhopal. Karan died during treatment in Bhopal on Sunday night. Guman is undergoing treatment in Bhopal. People of Yadav community were also injured in the fight. Police have registered a cross case in this matter. Police were also deployed in the village for 2 days after the incident. People demonstrated after Karan’s death. Karan’s family members allege that people of Yadav community formed a group and attacked him. Even women and children were beaten. The bullies want to get rid of his land. That is why this incident has been committed.
