Banaras news: In the application issued for recruitment to the vacant posts of Senior Resident in the Medical Institute of Kashi Hindu University, Banaras, UP, there were serious allegations of tampering with the rules and violation of the rules of constitutional reservation by the department. This matter is of November 2023, after which voices were being raised against it. Now in this matter, a delegation of BHU Bahujan unit met the Registrar and also submitted a memorandum to improve the rules.
Violation with constitutional reservation rules:
Actually, this matter is of 30 November 2023 when applications were issued for the total vacant posts of Senior Resident in all the departments of Faculty of Medicine, Trauma Centre, Dentistry and Ayurveda Faculty of Banaras Hindu University. But it was found that the department had tampered with the rules and there was a violation with the constitutional reservation rules. Regarding this problem, a delegation of BHU Bahujan Unit met the Registrar on Monday, February 12 and asked for immediate rectification of the irregularities in the release issued for the recruitment of Senior Residents.
Reservation issue:
The delegation of BHU Bahujan Unit also raised the issue of reservation in front of the Registrar and said that by displaying the constitutional reservation on the total vacant posts of all the departments in the release number IMS/2023 issued for the recruitment of Senior Resident in the Institute of Medical Sciences, the rules will be followed. This should be followed so that it can be known how many seats are there in which department and how many seats are reserved in which category.

The Registrar has assured the student delegation of BHU Bahujan Unit that the mistake will be rectified soon.
