Uttar Pradesh: Dalit woman computer operator beaten up, notice issued to the victim only
Social welfare officer wrote a letter to remove the computer operator and investigate the matter.

Uttar Pradesh. Minister of State for Social Welfare, Independent Charge, Aseem Arun has taken cognizance of the video that went viral recently of the alleged fight between the Principal and the computer operator at Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Nidauri, run by the Social Welfare Department in Ghaziabad district. He has given instructions to investigate this entire episode. In this case, the District Social Welfare Officer has requested to remove the computer operator and in view of the seriousness of the matter, a committee should be formed and an investigation should be conducted.
Actually, Dalit woman Anshika is posted as computer operator in Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalaya Mussoorie, located in Mussoorie area of rural area of Ghaziabad district. Anshika has been working as a computer operator in this school for the last two years. Anshika tells The Mooknayak, “This incident happened on March 4, the school principal Poonam Kushwaha keeps embarrassing me by behaving rudely and using caste-related words. I had reached the school that day. During this time, she was in my cabin. She came and she forcibly sent me to teach in her class. My job is only to do computer work. Still she started pressurizing me to teach another subject. She is my principal. So, instead of saying anything, I quietly left the class. “I thought it best to leave. I went to class from there.”
Anshika further said, “I also had a lot of work pending. Therefore, I thought it right to inform my senior about this. I called him and informed him about this. On this, instead of teaching in the class, my superiors told me to finish the remaining work. Said. I came back to my cabin. At the same time the Principal came and put pressure on me again. When I asked to leave after completing my work, she started calling me caste based words. When I protested, she attacked me. He did it. He held me by the hair and beat me with kicks and punches. Due to which I got injured. There are blue marks on my legs and injuries on my hands as well.”
A video of the incident related to the case also went viral on social media. In this case, a case was registered on the complaint of the victim under Indian Penal Code sections 323 (intentionally causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and Scheduled Caste Tribe Prevention Act. Now the Social Welfare Officer has requested for investigation in this matter. In view of which, instructions have been given to the Joint Director, Meerut Division for an impartial investigation. After investigation, strict action will be taken against the culprit.
In this video, serious allegations were made against the Principal by the computer operator. Taking cognizance of this matter, the Social Welfare Minister has said that this type of indiscipline will not be tolerated. Children should get good values and action is being taken against such teachers.
