Political turmoil is increasing in the case of suicide of the head constable of Bhankrota police station of Jaipur. Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie met the family members sitting on dharna on Sunday and accused the government of trying to save the accused. Julie criticized the government on this issue and demanded a fair investigation of the case.
Jaipur: The demands of the family members in the suicide case of the head constable of Bhankrota police station have not been met yet. They are sitting on a dharna outside the SMS mortuary and demanding the arrest of the accused, jobs for the children, and financial assistance of Rs 2 crore. On Sunday, August 25, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie reached the family members sitting on a dharna outside the mortuary. He demanded speedy justice for the victim’s family and stressed the need for action against the accused. He also criticized the BJP government and questioned the administration’s inaction in this matter.
Leader Julie targeted the government
Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie alleged that the government was showing laxity in arresting the accused and demanded immediate arrest. He said that the loyal constable committed suicide due to harassment by higher police officials and another person, which raises questions on the working style of the BJP government. Julie also said that the state government has failed to arrest the accused and it is shameful that a policeman had to face harassment from his own officers. He demanded a CBI inquiry into the case so that the culprits could be exposed.
Bhim Army workers joined the protest
The case of Head Constable Babulal Bairwa’s suicide has now reached a critical point. His family and various social organizations staged a sit-in protest outside Jaipur’s SMS Hospital. Bhim Army activists and social worker Ravi Meghwal also participated in this protest. The protesters have demanded the arrest of the accused, justice and assistance for the victim’s family.
Congress formed an investigation team:
Congress has formed an investigation team in the case of suicide of Head Constable Babulal Bairwa. State President Govind Singh Dotasara said that this team includes former minister Govind Ram Meghwal, MLA Rohit Bohra, Jaipur City District Congress Committee President RR Tiwari, and State Congress General Secretary Pushpendra Bhardwaj. This team will investigate the entire case and submit a report to the State Congress Committee. The Congress party is committed to getting justice for the family.
Chandrashekhar Azad warned the administration:
In the case of Dalit Head Constable Babulal Bairwa’s suicide, Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad addressed the protest through video call. He has warned the administration that if his demands are not met within 72 hours, he will stage a protest in Jaipur. Chandrashekhar Azad has demanded immediate action on this issue.
Wife released the video:
The post-mortem of the body of Head Constable Babulal Bairwa has not been done even on the fifth day, which has increased the anxiety and anger of the family members. The family members sitting on the dharna are demanding immediate action against the accused. The deceased’s wife Meena Devi has released a video in which she said that if the post-mortem is done without her son and her consent, it will be unauthorized and those doing this are likely to do anything. The FIR names Additional SP Jagdish Vyas, ACP Anil Sharma, Sub Inspector Ashutosh Singh, and journalist Kamal Degra, who are accused of mentally harassing Babulal Bairwa.
