Meerut News: Four arrested including a juvenile for breaking into Dalits’ house and assaulting them

Kairana. In the case of breaking into a house in Mohalla Khatikan and assaulting, using casteist slurs and breaking bones, the police arrested three accused and challaned them, while a juvenile was taken into custody and presented in the Juvenile Court.
On the evening of Diwali, in a dispute over a bike collision in Mohalla Khatikan, people of one side entered the house of people of the Dalit community and beat them up. The accused also used casteist slurs. The police had registered a case, but when effective action was not taken, the people of the Dalit community sat on a dharna, putting up a banner warning of migration.
When the matter hit the headlines, the police later got medical tests done for five injured people.
After this, the section of breaking bones was added to the case. On Friday, the police arrested three accused Farman, Kafil and Suhail of Mohalla Khailklaan and challaned them, while the fourth accused, a juvenile, was taken into custody and presented in the Juvenile Court. CO Shyam Singh said that the role of the other three accused is being investigated.
