Four of a family found dead in Kishoreganj

Police recovered the bodies of four members of a family, including two children, from a house in Bhairab of Kishoreganj yesterday.
The deceased are Johny Biswas, 32, of Raipura area in Narsingdi, his wife Nipa Rani Biswas, 26, their son Druba Biswas, 7, and daughter Kotha Biswas, 5.
Johny worked as a workshop mason in Bhairab.
Their bodies were recovered from a rented house of Rani Bazar area of Bhairab town in the afternoon.
Officer-in-Charge of Bhairab Police Station Md Shahin confirmed the matter and said the bodies were recovered after receiving information.
He said that the body of Johny Biswas was found hanging, while his wife’s body was slaughtered and the two children were strangled.
The cause of death could not be ascertained initially.
However, police are investigating whether it was a suicide or some other incident.
The bodies were sent to Shahid Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College, Kishoreganj morgue for autopsy.
Kishoreganj Superintendent of Police Md Hasan Chowdhury said, “We will know exactly what happened after an investigation.”
