Tension prevailed in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district when a father raised serious questions about the suspicious death of his daughter at a police station. The woman had gone to investigate a complaint she had filed against a police constable.
According to police, Chandrababu Pallepu, a resident of Chirala in Bapatla district, filed a complaint. He alleged that his daughter was murdered inside the Circle Inspector’s office in Krosuru on May 5. This shocking incident has now come to light.
According to reports, the deceased was divorced in 2018. She subsequently filed an official complaint against police constable P. Venkateshwar Reddy in 2021.
Police said the woman had made serious allegations against the constable in her complaint. She alleged that he had entered into a relationship with her under the pretense of marriage and later reneged on his promise. The accused constable is currently posted in the Palnadu district.
On May 5th, the police summoned the woman to the police station for questioning in connection with this case. However, later that day, she was found dead within the police station premises. Following this unnatural death, the woman’s family has expressed suspicion of a deep-seated conspiracy and demanded justice.
Palnadu Superintendent of Police (SP) B. Krishna Rao presented the police’s version of the matter. He said that when the woman arrived at the police station for questioning, she appeared physically weak.
According to the Superintendent of Police’s statement, seeing the woman’s condition, the police officers even offered her food. He claimed that after some time, the woman vomited and accidentally fell from the first floor of the building.
Officials said the woman suffered a severe seizure after falling. As her condition worsened, she was rushed to a local hospital, where she was declared dead.
SP Rao also stated that the family was informed immediately after the incident. Initially, the family protested and refused to take possession of the body, but later relented. The police are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the entire matter to uncover the truth.
