Allegations of Dalit student being beaten by dominant students: Police sent the injured student to the hospital for treatment, investigation underway
Students from a private college on Karhela Road in Akrabad assaulted a Dalit student, leaving him seriously injured. Police have sent the injured student to the hospital for treatment.
Ankush Kumar, son of Sukhveer Balmiki, a resident of Akrabad town, is a 12th-grade student at the same private inter-college on Karhela Road. After college was dismissed on Saturday, some dominant students began abusing Ankush at the college gate.
When Ankush, a Dalit student, resisted the abuse, the dominant students called other students from their group. They then assaulted Ankush, leaving him seriously injured.
The victim reported the incident to the police. Police immediately responded and rushed the injured student to the hospital for treatment.
Sub-Inspector Nitin Yadav stated that a fight broke out between students at a private college on Karhela Road in the town, resulting in one student being injured. The police are investigating the matter and necessary action will be taken after the investigation.
