MP News: A woman from Rajasthan suffered labor pain at Rani Kamalapati station in Bhopal, ambulance did not come for half an hour
A woman was delivered with the help of porters on platform number three of Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal. The woman kept on agonizing for half an hour at the station for ambulance and medical help. After this, the porters admitted the woman and the newborn to Jaypee Hospital by car with the help of GRP jawans.

Pregnant Pinky, who was going to Dholpur in Rajasthan by GT Express on Thursday evening at Rani Kamalapati railway station in Bhopal, started labor pains. Her husband Vinod dropped the woman on platform number three. People started asking for help. The woman was crying on the platform itself. Then the porters Rakesh Prajapati, Vishnu Prajapati, Gopal Giri and Lakhan reached the platform to help the woman. Rakesh Prajapati said that we informed 108 ambulance. After some time the woman was delivered on the platform itself. We ran and brought the stretcher. The woman and her child were taken out of the station. GRP jawan Amit Tiwari and RPF constable Manisha admitted the child and his mother to Jaypee Hospital when the ambulance did not arrive even after waiting for a long time. He told that both the mother and the child are fine.
Questions raised on the health system,
Rakesh Kumar said that despite the call, the ambulance did not reach Kamlapati railway station in 30 minutes. At the same time, the pregnant woman did not get the facility of doctor and ambulance even at the railway station. This incident raises questions about the claims of the governments regarding health facilities. In this way, the condition of health facilities in rural areas can be estimated.
