Jaipur. These days a video is going viral on social media. In the viral video, a man sitting on a chair is counting while hitting the shoes on the head of a young man sitting downstairs. It is being claimed that this viral video is from Ramnagar, Bhindusi village of Tijara police station area of Alwar, Rajasthan. Here a Dalit youth has also been claimed to have killed five shoes as punishment after the verdict of the Panchs by accusing them of molestation. However, the police of the concerned police station area, stating that the viral video is one to one and a half months old, said that no complaint has been received in this regard.
While there is a claim of rule of law in the country, even today in many areas conservative panchayats are showing law flouting. The Alwar incident in Rajasthan also seems to be defying the law. On the other hand, the family of the victim is very scared since the incident. In the news published in the local media, the name of the victim youth has been mentioned as Pawan Jatav. Victim’s father says, “Pawan has not molested anyone. When the girls of the village were leaving from there, he only stopped on the way to eat gutkha.”
If sources are to be believed, a panchayat was held a few days ago in Bhindusi village of Tijara police station area of Alwar. People who called themselves Patels had joined this panchayat. A young man was called to the meeting of panchs. He was ordered to sit in front of a Patel sitting on a chair. Patel took out the shoe from the foot and while counting, hit the youth on the head five times with a shoe. A decree was also issued to give severe punishment for committing the mistake again. Someone made a video of this whole incident and made it viral on social media. The police is also refraining from speaking clearly on the viral video.
The Mooknayak spoke to Inspector Rajpal Singh of Tijara police station in Alwar district regarding the viral video . He said, “This video is one to one and a half months old. No one has given a complaint to the police in this regard. As such, no one has been arrested. There is no pending investigation in Tijara police station.
