A man was found dead in a drain in Birganj
A man has been found dead in Parsa.
Deepak Giri, DSP, District Police Office, Parsa, informed that a man was found dead in the drain on the west side of Ghadiarwa Pond, Birganj Metropolitan City-10 at 5:30 am on Sunday morning.
The deceased is Raju Das, a 35-year-old resident of Pakahamainpur Rural Municipality Ward No. 1 Dhore. He was found dead in a drain.
Devotees thronged the Ghadiarwa pond from early morning to celebrate the Chhath festival. Devotees who came to celebrate Chhath informed the police after finding the body.
According to DSP Giri, the incident is not suspicious. The body was taken to Narayani Hospital for post-mortem after the police raised bond.
The relatives have identified the body after the post-mortem, police said. Police said that the cause of death will be known after receiving the report.
