Once again the case of rape of a four-year-old girl from a tribal family has come to light. A four-year-old girl, who had come to a relative’s house on Diwali in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, is found in a critical condition about 14 hours after her mysterious disappearance. Prima facie it is suspected that the girl was raped. This has made the matter sensational. Along with taking the suspect into custody, the girl has been admitted to the District Hospital Khandwa in a critical condition.
Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh said that on Monday morning, information was received that the girl, who was staying at her relative’s house in Jaswadi, went missing while sleeping. The accused took the four-year-old girl to a nearby sugarcane field on the intervening night of Sunday-Monday, where he raped her and then threw her in the bushes after taking her about a kilometer away, he said. He said that on the complaint of the relatives, the police started the search for the missing girl. Singh said that meanwhile, during the investigation, the name of a suspect named Rajkumar (25) had come to the fore before the police, who had gone to this family to ask for cot at night. According to him, the search for the accused was started and on Monday evening he was successful in catching him. The accused works in a nearby dhaba.

According to the police, when Rajkumar was interrogated, he narrated the entire incident, after which the girl was found unconscious in the bushes after searching for her traces. The girl was immediately sent to the district hospital for treatment. According to the police, after initial treatment, the girl was referred to Indore on Monday night for better treatment. Police say that during this time the accused was constantly trying to mislead. Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused under sections 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of IPC as well as POCSO Act.
Talking to The Mooknayak , member of Madhya Pradesh Child Protection Commission , Brijesh Chauhan said that the matter has been taken into cognizance by the commission. The culprit of the untoward incident with the girl child will not be spared. We have written a letter to the SP in this entire matter and asked for the investigation report. After investigation, we will try to get the harshest punishment for the guilty.
