Arrested for raping a 6-year-old girl

A 38-year-old youth from Biratnagar 12 has been arrested for raping a local 6-year-old girl. The arrested person is 38-year-old Sajan Kamat of Biratnagar 12. It is mentioned in the complaint given by the victim that he raped the girl on the afternoon of Kartik 11th, the day after Bhaitika, when there was no one at home. Kamat, who was arrested, is an electrician.
The victim’s father-in-law works as a wage labourer. Since she had no mother, she was staying at home with her sister. Kamat, who was arrested on rape charges, is unmarried. The victim girl had told her neighbor that Kamat had raped her. After that, the incident of rape reached the police station Bakhri in Biratnagar 12.
DSP Deepak Shrestha, the spokesman of the Morang Police, informed that he was arrested after the father-in-law of the victim girl lodged a complaint against Kamat on 14 October in a ‘forced case’. The police said on Wednesday that they have extended the deadline of four days in the Morang court against Kamat and started the investigation. The victim’s health was examined at Koshi Hospital in Biratnagar on Wednesday.
