DEATH OF DALIT FEMALE WARD MEMBER NEPALI

Padamkumari Nepali, a ward member of Dandagaon, Diprung Chuichumma rural municipality-2, Khotang, has died. Ward member Nepali, who suffered from toothache due to gum disease, died at 2 o’clock on Wednesday night. The Nepalese, who was referred to Birat Nursing Home after a gum surgery at VP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, died before reaching Itahari.
After being referred by District Hospital Diktel, he was taken to Dharan three days ago. His brother Vijay Nepali said that the Nepalese died while being taken to Biratnagar after being referred for the lack of ICU in Dharan. Suffering from toothache for a long time, his gums were cut and pus was removed.
Nepali’s condition was normal for an hour after the surgery. Mr. Balaram Charmakar said that when the VP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences showed lack of ICU, it was negligent.
Nepali won as a ward member from the CPN Maoist center in the local elections held on 30 Baisak. He is a member of the Municipal Committee of CPN Maoist Center.
