Madhya Pradesh: Upper caste boy raped a Dalit girl student in Khandwa on the pretext of marrying her.

In Madhya Pradesh’s Khandwa, a Dalit girl student has filed a police report saying that she was raped several times by a upper caste boy on the pretext of marriage. When the Dalit girl asked for marriage, the accused turned away on the pretext of caste. Please tell that the accused Manish Gaur is a resident of Khandwa’s Forced Colony and belongs to the upper caste community. On the other hand, the Dalit student lives in Harsud Nagar of Khandwa and is pursuing her graduation from SN College of the city.

Used to take to friend’s room:

The Dalit girl has told in her complaint that her first meeting with the accused Manish was at a juice shop. Both had a conversation and both exchanged contact numbers. After this both used to interact on social media and from here friendship turned into love. Both started meeting during college. The victim further told that a friend of Manish lived near the college, Manish took her to the friend’s room several times. Manish had physical relations with a Dalit girl on the promise of marriage.

Physical relations made on the pretext of marriage:

According to the victim student, when she refused to have a physical relationship, the accused Manish used to convince her on the pretext of marriage. He told her not to worry, he would marry her. On the other hand, when the Dalit girl talked about marriage, the accused Manish refused to get married by making an excuse of caste. According to the student, she felt so bad about the marriage that she started keeping distance from the Dalit student.

Threatened to kill :

In her complaint, the Dalit girl has also talked about threatening to kill her. He told that the relationship between the two lasted for about 1 year. Till January 12, 2023, both were in contact with each other but when the girl talked about marriage, the accused Manish started keeping distance. When the girl insisted, he also threatened to kill her. However, the police have registered a case against accused Manish K Gaur under sections 376, 376(2) (n), 366, 294, 506 Bhadvi, 3(2)(v) SC-ST Act.
