Uttar Pradesh: “BJP Yuva Morcha” functionary in Etah organized an attack on the marriage of a Dalit family
In Uttar Pradesh, during the wedding ceremony in the house of a Dalit family, a BJP youth wing official attacked and assaulted a Dalit family. According to the information, the case is of January 12 when his granddaughter was married at Rajendra Kumar Valmiki’s house in Etah district of UP. Meanwhile, BJP youth wing functionary Chandan and a group of upper caste people misbehaved with the relatives who came to his house on a motorcycle. Everyone started giving caste-specific abuses to the Dalit family, when the Dalits objected to the caste-specific abuses and indecency, 14 upper castes together started pelting stones at the Dalit area.
Our lives are in danger:
The aggrieved Dalit family alleges that the upper castes under the leadership of BJP youth wing worker Chandan attacked the Dalit family with sticks. The family members were seriously injured in this attack. According to Rajendra Valmiki, three relatives have suffered serious head and face injuries while his niece has fractured her collarbone.
The Dalit family says that the family members of the accused are absconding since the incident, while they are being threatened with death.

Santosh Kumar Valmiki, a relative of the Dalit family, says that “Chandan, the main accused in the incident, lives in Kehran area. Chandan stops Dalits from Kachhpura from passing through his area. Attacking Dalit areas with sticks and stones is a well-planned conspiracy because he wants to create fear among Dalits about his political position so that no Dalit passes through his area.
BJP district president cut off the case:
However, Additional Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Singh Kushwaha has registered a case under various sections including Section 147 (rioting) and SC, ST Act. The local police is on the lookout for 15 accused including BJP youth wing functionary Chandan. On the other hand, according to the report of UP city news, District President of “Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha” Devendra Bhadhoriya has confirmed that Chandan is an active office bearer and said, “We have nothing to do with this matter. Police has registered FIR, investigation is going on in the matter and action should be taken against the accused.
