A young woman was killed by a machete, a young man was seriously injured
A girl was killed today by hitting her with a khukuri in Khandbari Municipality-1 Ghimiregaon of Sankhuwasabha. 21-year-old Yuna Darnal, who was living in Sabhapokhari rural municipality-1 and living in Khandbari-1, was killed.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Birendra Godar of the District Police Office, 23-year-old Nandaram Gadal of Sabhapokhari Rural Municipality-1 killed Darnal. She was camping in the fields. After killing the girl, Gadal tried to commit suicide by hitting her with a knife, police said.
After killing the girl, Gadal stabbed himself in the stomach. He is seriously injured and is being treated at the district hospital, Khandbari. Gadal came to Khandbari only on Thursday after three months of Nepal Police training. It is said that last night Gadal was staying in the dera of deceased Darnal. In the morning, locals informed the police after learning about the incident. DSP Godar said that the reason for the murder could not be revealed. Police are investigating the incident.
