Panipat (Sachin): Controversy is afoot in Babri Bhimrao Ambedkar’s statue once again in village Kabri in Panipat. Please tell that earlier also the idol of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar was dismantled. In order to avoid any quarrel at the place, the administrative officials had decided to sit on both sides that there would be a building of Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar as well as a statue of Bhimrao Ambedkar.
People of the Dalit community alleged that the sarpanch of the village, including the people of the Kashyap community, destroyed the idol late at night. He said that if the people of the Dalit community protested, they also beat him fiercely. Police reached the spot after getting information about the case. Two policemen were also injured in the brawl, while dozens of Dalit community members were seriously injured. Today, hundreds of people staged a sit-in in front of the small secretariat in Panipat and raised anti-government slogans. People of Dalit society demand that they will sit on dharna till the arrest of the accused.
During this, DSP Sandeep reached the spot and assured the people of the Dalit society that the accused will soon be brought under control. At the same time, the people of the society remained adamant about their demands and said that if the accused are not arrested soon, they will also block the GT Road.
During the demonstration of the same Dalit society, the people of Kashyap community along with their lawyer came to SP Manisha Chaudhary to plead for justice and made serious allegations against a person named Nempal, they alleged that under the cover of the idol of Nempal Baba Saheb, the leader of the Dalit society I want to occupy the land of Johar. People of Kashyap community said that Nempal does blackmailing business by registering a case under STST Act. The lawyer of the Kashyap society said that there are about 10 criminal cases against Nempal and he has also been sentenced to jail in one case.
