Youth beaten to death over petty issue, three arrested

Bareilly (UP), Aug 2 (UNI) Three persons were arrested for beating a Dalit youth to death after
tying him with a tree over a petty issue in Fareedpur area of Bareilly district here in Uttar
Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that a boy took birth in the house of one Sachin (24), a resident orf
Piparthara village earlier this month. “On July 11 Vishal and his accomplices forcibly entered the
house of Sachin and demanded him to give a feat on the occasion of child’s birth, but the
deceased refused citing financial constraints,” they said.
Police sources said that irked with the refusal, Vishal and his accomplices dragged Sachin out of
the village, where they tied him with a tree and thrashed with an iron rod. “Sachin, who
sustained serious injuries, was admitted to a hospital in Bareilly where he died on Monday,” they
said.
