Chandan Rai, who lives in Jai Bharat Enclave Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, has filed this case against journalist Shyam Meera Singh in police station Sahibabad under Section 66 of the IT Act. According to Chandan Rai, Shyam Meera Singh had written objectionable words on Twitter on August 7 at 2.45 pm, quoting a TV channel’s tweet.
Chandan Rai has said in the FIR lodged in the police station that, “This indecent tweet is being opposed by the general public. This is directly an indecent comment against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who is leading 25 crore people of Uttar Pradesh.” This comment has hurt not only my sentiments, but the sentiments of the entire country.
