Uttar Pradesh: Dalit shot in drain dispute, atrocities also took place in Bulandshahr and Bareilly.

Uttar Pradesh. Cases of atrocities against people of Dalit community have been reported from various places of UP on Sunday. A Dalit man was shot dead in a dispute over a farm drain in Banda district. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Here, in Bareilly a Dalit youth was beaten up on charges of molesting a woman. A case of beating of a Dalit youth has also come to light in Khurja of Bulandshahr. A case has been registered in all three cases and the police have started investigation. 

Know what all the matters are?

In Dadin Purva of Atarra police station area in Banda district, a person shot and injured a middle-aged man from the Dalit community and his minor nephew over a dispute over a farm drain. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.

Atarra area Police Regional Officer (CO) Ziauddin Ahmed said that during a dispute over the drain of the farm in Dadin Purwa (Bhujwan Purwa) at around 6 pm on Saturday evening, Rinku Tripathi attacked Raja Bhaiya (40) of Dalit community and his minor nephew Vipin (40). 17) was shot and injured with a pistol. According to him, a case has been registered in this connection and the injured have been admitted to the medical college for treatment. He said that at present the accused is absconding and efforts are being made to arrest him. Ashok, a member of the victim’s family, alleged that Rinku fired the shot from his father’s licensed gun, but the police wrote in the complaint that he fired from a pistol. Medical College Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar Kaushal said that the injured uncle and nephew were shot in the legs.

Woman beaten up after accusing her of molesting him

He is from Saidpur village of Bhojipura police station area of ​​Bareilly. In his FIR, Vijay Kumar, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category, said that on the afternoon of December 13, residents of his village, Riyazuddin, alias Gabbar, Kamaruddin, Basruddin and his son Bhura came to his house and threatened him. All of them falsely accused the victim of molesting a girl from their family, abused the victim and attacked him with sticks. Vijay says that when his uncle Girdhari came to save him, the attackers beat him up too. When people of the locality started gathering, the accused ran away while threatening to kill them. On Vijay’s complaint, the police have registered a case against Riyazuddin, Bhura, Kamaruddin and Basruddin under sections 323, 452, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and under the SC/ST Act. A video of this fight is also going viral on social media. 

In this video, it is seen that some people have sticks in their hands and they are beating someone. During this time, abuses are also happening there. It is also visible in the video that some women are present there. At the same time, about an hour after Vijay’s FIR, the Muslim side also lodged an FIR against the Dalit side in the same Bhojipura police station. In this FIR, a woman has accused Vijay of molesting herself and assaulting her family members when she complained about it.

Vijay, Laxman, Girdhari and Mahendra have been named in this FIR. Action has been taken against all of them under sections 323, 504 and 354 (a) of the IPC. Bareilly Police said that preventive action has been taken against two accused in this dispute.

Video of beating of Dalit youth goes viral, FIR

A video of the beating of a Dalit youth, a resident of Mumrejpur in Jahangirpur police station area of ​​Khurja district of Bulandshahr, is going viral on social media. In the viral video, some people are beating a Dalit youth together. The controversy arose due to a video related to Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar going viral on social media. There was a dispute between two parties regarding the viral video. After the matter came to notice, the police station registered a report against two named persons and some unknown persons and started investigation. The same Bhim Army surrounded the tehsil and met the SDM and demanded the arrest of the accused.
