What is the matter?
The incident took place in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. In fact, on the evening of Friday, January 9, in a village of Rampur Karkhana police station area of Deoria district, a Dalit girl studying in class sixth was going alone towards the fields. Finding the girl alone, the accused raped her. According to the information, the accused was sitting on the culvert, seeing the girl alone, he pressed her mouth, took her under the culvert and raped her. After committing the incident the accused fled from there.
Caste based abuses and assault:
After the incident, when the girl went to her home, she told her family about the incident. When the victim’s family went to the accused’s house regarding this matter, the accused’s family abused the victim’s family and beat them up.
Absconding from the village:
The victim’s mother reached the police station on Saturday, January 10, and informed the police about the incident. After investigation, a case was registered against the accused. As soon as the accused got information about the registration of the case, the accused fled from the village.

In this matter, Police Station Head Santosh Singh says that on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against the accused under the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Act including rape, POCSO. Police is investigating the possible locations of the accused to arrest him.
