UP: Deadly attack on Dalit family, BSP President Mayawati said- “Take strict action against the accused”
BSP supremo Mayawati has posted about the attack on a Dalit family in a village in Bijnor district. Mayawati along with the government appealed to the Election Commission to take cognizance of the incident.

Lucknow. Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati has expressed grief over the incident of deadly attack on Scheduled Caste families in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. He has condemned this incident by posting on social media and demanded strict action against the accused.
Actually, in village Mukhtiyapur of Najibabad, yesterday i.e. on the day of Holi, two parties clashed over a minor dispute. During this period there was a very bloody conflict between the two sides. Sharp weapons were also fired from both sides. Many people were injured and the condition of one is critical.
It is being told that in Mauza Mukhtiyarpur of Gram Panchayat Khalilpur, Shivam had a dispute with a young man in the village itself over some issue. The dispute escalated so much that there was a bloody conflict between the two parties. In the dispute that took place around 1.30 pm on Holi, many people from both the parties including Pradeep and Shivam of one party were injured. Pradeep suffered a deep wound on his neck with a sharp weapon. Injured Pradeep and Shivam were admitted to Pooja Nursing Home. Pradeep’s condition here is very serious. Both the parties have filed FIR against each other.

While posting on Tuesday, Mayawati wrote that the incident of many people getting injured in the deadly attack on Dalit families by feudal elements in Mukhtyarpur village of Najibabad in Bijnor district is serious and very sad. The government should take strict action against the culprits under the SC/ST Act so that the election atmosphere does not deteriorate. The Election Commission should take cognizance of this.
Police arrested the accused
In this matter, SP City says that some people have been injured in the Holi color procession attack and are undergoing treatment. Police arrested one accused and handed over the investigation of the entire case to CO Najibabad. Besides, the remaining actions will be implemented after identifying the hoodlums.
Woman beaten on Holi day
It is from Chekaiya village of Kaptanganj police station area of Basti, where the old land dispute once again emerged and due to lack of timely police action, this dispute turned into a fight. People from one side attacked people from the other side with sticks, the live video of which is also going viral on social media.
In the viral video, it can be clearly seen how an elderly woman is being beaten with sticks, and the bullies are not sparing other women who come forward to save her. The victim, Dalit woman Pramila Devi, who lodged a written complaint at Kaptanganj police station, said that she has an old land dispute with all her relatives including Dabang Satish Chaudhary, Arvind Chaudhary, Umesh Chaudhary, Ramesh Chaudhary Chandrashekhar Chaudhary, resident of her village, regarding which both of them have been fighting for the last one month. There is a lot of discord going on between the families.
Police reached the spot
The woman told that a complaint about this was also made at the police station, but the police did not take any action in time. This morning, when Holika Dahan was kept on the disputed land, its thatched roof was forcibly taken away and burnt by the bullies, then Pramila Devi went to the house of her opponents to complain about it, where she was misbehaved with her. Victim Pramila Devi informed the police about this. After this, the police reached the spot and asked the parties to come to the police station.
