The victim, accompanied by his family members, lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday. The victim, who follows Buddhism, regularly posts content related to Baba Bhimrao on social media, using his elder brother’s phone. The students not only thrashed the dalit student but also used caste-based slurs against him. The accused said the Dalit student often shares posts on social media that are against traditional values. They alleged when they asked him to refrain from posting such content, he abused them.
