World March for Peace and Nonviolence
The organization behind the World March for Peace and Nonviolence is preparing for its 3rd iteration, following the successful 1st and 2nd marches. The 1st March took place across 97 countries, featuring nearly a thousand events and significant participation, while the 2nd lasted 159 days with activities in 51 countries.
The mission focuses on raising awareness about global conflicts, promoting peace, and highlighting positive actions for human rights and nonviolence. The organizational structure includes Promoter Teams (EP) and Support Platforms (PA) that encourage broad participation and collaboration.
The 3rd World March has kicked off in San José, Costa Rica, on October 2, 2024, and will conclude there on January 5, 2025, emphasizing a commitment to fostering a culture of nonviolence globally.
3rd World March for Peace and Nonviolence – Visit to Pakistan
The 3rd World March for Peace and Nonviolence (WMPN) delegation visited Pakistan from 26 to 31 October 2024. This initiative focuses on addressing escalating global conflicts, raising awareness, showcasing positive actions, and amplifying the voices of younger generations for peace. The primary objective of WMPN’s visit to Pakistan was to inspire and educate the youth about their role in promoting global peace.
