VIDEO: Dalit student beaten up in Rewari, forced to smoke cigarette and rub his nose, video made viral

In a village in Rewari’s Rohdai police station area, some youths beat up a minor Dalit student of class 10th badly. Not only this, they tried to force him to smoke cigarettes. When they were not satisfied with this, they made him rub his nose on their feet. After this, they made a video of the entire incident and made it viral on social media. After the video of inhuman treatment to the student came to light, the family members complained to the police. The police have registered a case against four youths under various sections including the SC-ST Act. The father of the victim student has said in his complaint to the police that his son is a student of class 10th. On November 24, he had gone to his friend in the village in the afternoon to get a book. On the way, some boys stopped him near the Chaupal and forcibly took him inside the Chaupal. After this, he was tortured by behaving inhumanly with him. In the video, the video of the beating of the accused Dalit student who was threatening to call the student Papa, which has gone viral, four youths are seen trying to force the victim student to smoke cigarettes. When the student refuses to smoke cigarettes, they beat him badly. The attacking boys are asking the student to call them papa. Not only this, in the video, the victim student is being made to rub his nose on their feet. In the 10-minute video, the student is being tortured badly and casteist words are also used. The victim’s father has told the police that after the incident, his son came home and remained silent, he did not tell anyone anything. In the evening, a youth living in the neighborhood showed him a video. In this, some youths of the village are seen beating the son. When he asked the son about this, he told his story. According to the victim, the accused have written in the viral video on social media, this is what will happen to the one who collides with us. A complaint has been received about beating a Dalit student due to old enmity. In the video, some youths are seen beating the student. On the complaint of the victim’s father, a case has been registered against four youths under SC, ST. It will be investigated whether the accused are adults or minors.
