Heartbreaking murder of a 19-year-old Dalit student in Saharanpur, two accused arrested — What is the truth?

Saharanpur/Uttar Pradesh: Police have arrested two people in connection with the shooting of a 19-year-old Dalit student outside a college in Saharanpur on Sunday. The incident took place around 1 pm in the Nagal police station area near the Gagalheri-Deoband highway.
Ashutosh Singh, a first year B Pharma student, was returning after giving his exam when 5-6 masked miscreants attacked Ashutosh and his friend Aryan Malik with sticks. When other students came to intervene, one of the attackers opened fire and shot Ashutosh in the face. He fell down and died on the way to the hospital. Aryan Malik is undergoing treatment.
After this incident, Bhim Army and other minority groups have demonstrated and demanded strict action against the accused.
Saharanpur SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan said , “Initial investigation has revealed that the attack was due to personal rivalry. Ashutosh lost his life while protecting his friend. We are investigating all angles.”
After the encounter with the police, two accused Udit Rode and Ayush Kumar, who are residents of Saharanpur, have been arrested. The vehicle and weapons used in the incident have also been recovered. The search for other accused is on.
Police have registered an FIR against 6-7 accused under sections 191(2), 191(3) (rioting), 103 (murder), 109 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code and section 3(2)(5) of the Scheduled Castes/Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and other relevant sections. “Efforts are on to identify and arrest the remaining accused,” the SSP said.
