A sensational incident has come to light in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, that has brought shame to law and order and the police force. An 11-year-old Dalit girl has been accused of gang rape in the Bilgram police station area. Following this inhumane incident, the victim’s father has leveled serious allegations against the local police, causing a stir within the department.
The victim’s father has leveled serious allegations against the police.
The victim’s father alleges that his daughter was kidnapped and brutally assaulted. When they went to the police station seeking justice, the police, instead of taking action against the accused, threatened to imprison the victim’s family by charging them with marijuana. Furthermore, the family alleges that the police and female police officers severely beat and intimidated the victim.
What is the whole matter?
In fact, the victim’s family originally hails from the Harpalpur area of Hardoi district and has been living in Kanpur for the past 10 years, driving auto-rickshaws. It is alleged that the main accused, Rahul Tiwari, Prashant, his wife Priya, and Guddu, who lived below their apartment, had also kidnapped the girl on June 14th. At that time, after a complaint to Dial 112, the accused released the girl with the help of the police.
It is alleged that the frightened family left the girl at her maternal grandfather’s house for her safety, but the accused were so emboldened that they lured her away from there and abducted her on June 22nd.
Police Kept Procrastinating – Victim’s Father
The victim’s father alleges that despite being informed on June 22nd, the Bilgram police station continued to procrastinate and filed a case the following day, June 23rd. The victim’s father claims that the investigating officer in the case, Deep Narayan Pandey, was in constant contact with the accused and was speaking to them on the phone, while telling the victim’s family that their location was untraceable.
What did the victim say after regaining consciousness?
The father alleges that he was chased away from the police station, was not allowed to meet his daughter, and that sections like the POCSO and SC/ST Act were not initially added to suppress the case. The extreme point was reached when the investigating officer threatened to imprison the victim’s family. The father alleges that when his daughter regained consciousness, she told him that the administration and police had intimidated, threatened, and beaten her severely. Investigating officer Deep Narayan Pandey also beat her. Because of this, his daughter is now extremely afraid to even go to the police.
The accused is threatening the victim’s family.
The victim’s father made another shocking revelation, stating that the main accused, Rahul Tiwari, is so emboldened that he continues to call and threaten him and his family even after the incident. According to him, accused Rahul Tiwari is saying on the phone, “Take 10-20 lakh rupees and sell your daughter. End the matter. If you do anything further in this matter, we’ll shoot you all.”
The victim’s family sought help from Chandrashekhar Azad.
The father stated that they still have the call details of the accused, who called and threatened them just 1-2 hours ago. When no hearing took place at the local level for several days, the victim’s family tried to contact Chandrashekhar Azad, the national president of the Azad Samaj Party. As soon as the police became aware of the matter’s escalation, the department immediately swung into action, and just a few hours later, the accused left the girl in a distraught state.
What did the police say about the matter?
However, the police claim that the girl walked to the police station on June 28th. Currently, the victim is admitted to a medical college due to excessive bleeding and severe shock, where she is unable to speak.
