SARIM Participated in Minority Rights March 2026
The South Asia Research Institute for Minorities (SARIM) participated in the Minority Rights March 2026, bringing together minority representatives, civil society members, human rights activists, religious leaders, and advocates to promote religious freedom, equality, and peaceful coexistence.
The march highlighted Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of an inclusive Pakistan and addressed key challenges faced by minority communities, including discrimination, violence, forced conversions, and the protection of worship places.
Key participants included Sheema Kermani, Luke Victor, Nathan Danyal (Religions for Peace), Anthony Naveed (Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly), Safina Gill, Pandit Rajesh Kalyan, Najma Maheshwari, Sardar Ram Singh, and Pastor Ghazala Shafique.
The event concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen minority rights protections, promote inclusive education, ensure community safety, and improve mechanisms for addressing rights violations.
