New Delhi: A shocking and shameful incident has emerged from the national capital. A BJP Mandal president in Kanjhawla, northwest Delhi, has accused his own party MLA of holding him hostage and brutally beating him. This allegation is directed at BJP MLA from Mundka, Gajendra Daral, and his associates.
The victim has been identified as Sunil, the BJP Mandal President of Ward No. 25, Kanjhawla. It is alleged that around 8:30 pm on Thursday night, MLA Gajendra Daral summoned Sunil to the BJP office in Ranikhet (Deepak Mathur’s office), citing an important meeting. The MLA asked him to immediately bring the voter lists for 42 booths.
According to Sunil, when he arrived with full responsibility, the voter list was discarded within minutes. A man named Amit Mathur was then summoned by phone. It is alleged that Deepak Mathur, the MLA, and his other associates, who were already present there, conspired to lock the office from inside and turn off the CCTV cameras.
What followed was a horrific period of torture that would send shivers down anyone’s spine. Sunil’s brother, Vijay, claims that his brother was stripped naked and brutally beaten with pipes, sticks, and belts throughout the night. This inhuman torture left his skin peeling off. It is alleged that he was subjected to vulgar abuse and casteist slurs during the assault.
After escaping on Friday morning, Sunil released a video message expressing his pain. Showing the bruises on his body, Sunil said that the abuse had deeply hurt him, both physically and spiritually. He heartily warned other party workers not to approach any senior official alone at night in the future without prior notice.
Surprisingly, even after this horrific incident, the police administration remains completely indifferent. The victim, Sunil, has been making rounds of the police station with a medical report, yet the police have yet to register an FIR. Instead, the MLA’s men are constantly visiting the victim’s home, pressuring him to settle the matter and threatening him.
This entire incident has raised serious questions about the internal situation of the ruling party and the law and order situation. The victim’s family has now appealed for justice and unequivocally demanded that an FIR be immediately registered against the accused MLA Gajendra Daral and all those involved in the assault under the SC/ST Act and other relevant sections, and their arrest be ensured.
