A Hindu businessman, identified as Basant Kumar, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Public Park on Chakar Road in Sibi, Balochistan, prompting police to launch an investigation and search for those responsible.
According to reports, the shooting occurred near the public park, where Kumar sustained critical gunshot injuries. He was immediately taken to the Teaching Hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.
Police arrived at the scene following the incident and initiated an investigation. According to the City Police Station’s station house officer (SHO), the area was cordoned off and checkpoints were established to trace and apprehend the suspects, who reportedly fled after the shooting.
