Julana police station has registered a case against three people under various sections, including SC/ST law, for harassing and abusing the woman after inter-caste love marriage. A Scheduled Caste woman resident of Julana told in the complaint given to the police that she had inter-caste marriage with Pradeep, resident of Nandgarh village in 2018. After marriage she also gave birth to a daughter. Later the behavior of Pradeep and his family changed and they started insulting him by giving casteist abuses.
In the complaint, the woman has alleged that she was often beaten up in her in-laws’ house and was kept hostage. He had complained to the police in this regard, but a compromise was made in the family.
It said that on July 2, she was assaulted by her in-laws and she was kept hostage in her room till September 8. Somehow she left her in-laws house and reached her maternal home. who admitted him to the hospital.
On the complaint of the woman, the Julana police station has registered a case against her husband Pradeep, father-in-law Jaikishan, mother-in-law Saroj for assault, under various sections including SC ST Act.
