Patna: In a shocking incident reported from Bihar capital Patna, a teacher allegedly brutally thrashed a student in a coaching classroom causing him to use consciousness. The incident was caught on camera and its clip went viral on the internet.
The five-year-old student was later shifted to the hospital for treatment. The incident reportedly took place at Dhanarua area of Patna. The viral video shows the teacher from a coaching centre mercilessly thrashing the boy with a cane. And when the stick broke into two, the teacher allegedly started kicking and punching the boy.
In the video, the boy could be seen crying and pleading with the teacher not to beat him. The boy could not bear the brutal thrashing and went unconscious. The other students who were were terrified of the thrashing and could not gather strength to stop the teacher, according to a report in The Hindu.
Upset with the incident, the teacher was caught and thrashed by local residents. The teacher is identified as ‘Chhotu’. Reports suggest that the teacher and the coaching centre owner suffered from high blood pressure.
Meanwhile, a police complaint has been filed against the teacher by the family of the child. Police said they have initiated a probe into the incident. It is also alleged that the local residents vandalised the coaching centre.
The video of the incident was shot by a local resident who posted it on social media. The incident reportedly took place at Jaya Coaching classes.
