Sarpanch beat Dalit family for playing songs of Babasaheb ambedkar

Yavatmal, July 28 : An outrageous incident came to light that a Dalit family was brutally beaten up by their relatives along with the village sarpanch in Pusad taluka of Yavatmal district for playing the songs of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on the DJ. Finally, after complaining in this case, Pusad Rural Police registered a case against 9 people. According to the police, the marriage of the daughter of Anusayabai Prakash Talikute of Karla was organized on July 25. On that occasion, a turmeric program was started on 24th July.

Meanwhile, Mahapurusha’s song starts playing on the DJ. The village sarpanch Ramesh Rathod came to the place asking why this song was played and asked him to stop the song. This led to a dispute between the Sarpanch and the Talikute family. The sarpanch then called some of his accomplices to the spot, brutally beat up the male and female members of the Talikute family. As a result, some people got injuries on their backs. Ashabai Talikute has given a complaint to the police that the woman was also beaten up and castigated. Based on this complaint, atrocity and other crimes have been registered against 9 suspected accused including Sarpanch Ramesh Rathod. However, not a single accused has been arrested yet. All the accused are absconding since last 4 days and search is on for the accused.

According to Asha Talikute’s complaint to the police, Anusayabai Prakash Talikutte’s daughter’s marriage was arranged on July 25. On that occasion, a turmeric program was started on 24th July. On this occasion Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s song was played on the DJ. Everyone was dancing happily on Babasaheb’s song. At the same time Sarpanch Ramesh Rathod came there and hurled caste abuse asking him to stop the song. On that, Talikute family advised Rathod that you should leave here as soon as we play the song. An enraged Rathod then reached there with his son Ramesh, Govind, Amol and Dayaram Chavan, Waghu Chavan, Sadanand Rathod, Deu Rathod, Raju Rathod, Deu Rathod with sticks and beat them all severely. Not only this, the women and girls of the Talikute family were also brutally beaten.
