Taliban punishment given to Dalit youth on suspicion of stealing soybean, accused of checking religion by taking off clothes

A Dalit youth was punished by Taliban for stealing a sack of soybeans at a factory in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh. Nearby workers and people, including the factory, tied the young man to a pole and beat him badly with kicks and bribes. The mob took off the young man’s clothes and put his hand in his inner wear. After this, the police registered a case of theft and arrested the young man and sent him to jail. In this case, the mother of the youth who was sent to jail alleges that people behaved inhumanly like checking the religion of her son by removing the inner wear.
This incident is from Balkwara police station area, about 70 km from Khargone district headquarters. People saw a 32-year-old Dalit youth, Chiku Rokde, stealing four sacks of soybeans in a soybean factory located in the industrial town here.
After this, the factory workers and the people around beat Cheeku badly. To escape from the people, Cheeku entered the big cement pipe used in road construction, but the merciless mob pulled him out of the pipe and hit him badly with kicks, punches and sticks.
The victim’s mother Bhagwati Bai has alleged that her son was stripped of his clothes to check whether he was a Hindu or a Muslim. This is inhuman behavior. His hands and feet were tied with the same cloth of Chiku and beaten up like animals.
After this, when the matter reached the Kasrawad police station and Khaltanka police post, the police arrested the Dalit youth accused of theft and sent him to jail. Someone made a video of the incident of beating the accused and made it viral on social media, after which there was a stir.
