In Bihar, allegation of forcibly marrying a minor Dalit girl, taking her to Nepal and selling her, case registered.

Posted on April 22, 2024 by Dalit Times

When Sameer Alam was interrogated further, he confessed to his crime. On the question of going to jail again for trafficking a Dalit girl, Sameer Alam told the police, “No problem, I will go to jail again, then I will come out on bail.”

BIHAR NEWS: You must remember the film “The Kerala Story” in which the incidents of Love Jihad were shown. A similar case has come to light from Bihar where a Muslim youth deceived a Dalit minor girl and married her and after luring her, he was taking her to Nepal to sell and during that time the accused was arrested by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) soldiers. Caught. Know the whole matter.

Married a minor girl first by deceiving her:

Actually the whole matter is of East Champaran of Bihar. Where 26 year old Sameer Alam is accused of marrying a minor girl by deceiving her and then luring her and taking her to Nepal. Meanwhile, on Saturday, April 20, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) personnel caught Sameer Alam along with a Dalit Hindu minor girl. It has also come to light that Sameer has already been accused of selling non-Muslim girls by converting them to Islam.

The accused did not give up:

According to the information, the 17 year old Hindu girl is a resident of Narkatiaganj. She often used to visit her friend Salma Khatoon’s house. Actually, the girl met Sameer Alam when she had gone to a wedding ceremony with her friend Salma Khatoon. Then Sameer tried to talk to the victim at the wedding ceremony but the victim refused to talk to him. Even after this the accused did not leave him. Even while going to school, he would stop the victim midway and try to talk to her.

The accused did not reveal his real identity:

After a few days, the victim started talking to Sameer Alam but Sameer Alam did not tell the victim about his real identity. It had been almost 2 months since both of them got acquainted. After this, Sameer started insisting on taking the victim to his home. At first the victim refused but later she agreed on the condition of returning soon. The victim, who had left for school, reached Sameer’s house straight away. Going there, the victim found that many ready-made women were present there. Amidst all this, Sameer tried to fulfill the victim’s demand.

Married by deception:

The victim told the police in her statement that after such a long time she had understood that she had been trapped. The girl silently kept doing what she was told. After marriage, Sameer started living with the girl. The girl was not allowed to go out anywhere. Twice when the victim tried to escape, she was caught. The victim’s phone was also snatched. The victim also told in her statement that one day when she got a chance to make a call from Sameer’s phone but she was caught.

Conspiracy to sell Nepal:

After this, Sameer conspired to sell the victim to Nepal. To complete this conspiracy, Sameer offered the victim to take her to Raxaul market. On the pretext of visiting the market, he took the victim towards the Nepal border and during this, Inspector Manoj Kumar Sharma of 47th battalion of SSB posted on the border caught sight of the girl and Sameer. When he became suspicious, he interrogated Sameer. His suspicions were further strengthened by Sameer’s way of talking. When he talked to the girl, she too was not saying anything openly.

No problem, I will go to jail again:

Inspector Manoj Sharma brought Sameer and the victim to the police station. Here many objectionable videos and photos were found in Sameer’s mobile. Investigation also revealed that Sameer Alam, son of Mohammad Guddu Miyan, resident of Bettiah, has been accused of trafficking of a minor girl from the Dalit community on May 11, 2022. Then a case was registered against him under sections 363, 366, 376, 370 and POCSO Act 03 (2) ST, SC Act in Pratapgarh. Accused Sameer is said to be already married and father of one child. When Sameer Alam was interrogated further, he confessed to his crime. On the question of going to jail again for trafficking a Dalit girl, Sameer Alam told the police, “No problem, I will go to jail again, then I will come out on bail.” Eventually, when the secret was revealed, the minor victim also exposed all the evil deeds of Sameer Alam.

Case registered against Sameer Alam:

Eventually Ranjit Singh, a social worker from Raxaul lodged a police complaint against Sameer Alam. On this complaint, action has been taken against Sameer Alam under sections 363, 366, 376, 370 of IPC and POCSO Act, besides SC/ST Act and Child Marriage Act etc. Sameer Alam has been arrested and sent to jail. The victim’s family has been informed. Police is busy investigating the matter.
